A Letter To Women Everywhere | International Women’s Day
For International Women’s Day, I penned a letter to women everywhere who may need some encouragement:
To the woman reading this,
I see you. I hear you. I’m proud of you.
Continue to take up space. Continue to show up. Your efforts matter, even when they’re not met with a “thank you” or generous support.
I hope you’re giving yourself grace. You deserve it, just like anyone else. No one knows what they’re doing, so don’t beat yourself up when you make a mistake. You’re doing just fine!
Please make time for rest and relaxation. I know you’re tired, and that is why I’m saying this. RELAX. Our aunties weren’t lying when they said stress makes you sick. Listen to your body when it’s telling you to slow down.
Continue to choose YOU and love yourself through EVERY stage of your life. Don’t wait until things are “perfect”. Celebrate the small wins, including the moment you realize that you’re not okay, embrace your feelings, and work on your areas of improvement. They matter, too.
Again, I’m proud of you. You are a very special person with so much to offer! You are loved and appreciated, always. Thank you for being you.
- Anyssa xoxo
